Safe stoves for women and the environment. Very interesting!
Paying the price (trailer): The film shows disparate indigenous tribes with black and white photographs, infused with soul touching music. The film reiterates, through its music and visuals, that women folk actually are the preserver/user of natural resources and if they are made aware of the environmental problems, the conservation process will be fortified and paced up. The rural women folk are more close to nature, like to fetch fuel or water. This film visualizes the harsh environment women face in everyday life, juxtaposed with soulful photographs. The narration is about the immediate environment of women and the possible ways of emancipation.
International Colloquium on Women Empowerment, Leadership, Development, International Peace and Security (Liberia, March 2009). Includes a "Multimedia" section.
Case Study:
